
One Small Step Workshop
In our new, exciting space-themed STEM experience, Key Stage 2 pupils work in small teams to investigate the use of robots in space exploration. One Small Step is an engaging, high-energy workshop that will allow young people of all ages and abilities to understand simple algorithms and have fun in the process.

Learn about real space missions and the robots used in planetary exploration

Take on coding challenges using Spheros and a space-themed challenge mat

Design and debug programs to complete a series of coding missions

Develop skills such as teamwork, problem solving, creativity and adaption

Logistics and Planning:

Requires hall, sports hall or large classroom (no tables/chairs)

Learners split into groups of up to 4 (maximum 10 teams of 4)

Between 1 to 1.5 hours to suit the school timetable

We ask that a teacher is always present throughout the activities, to support learner engagement and manage behaviour.
